As you enter this room, you are immediately transported back in time. Enhanced by Neapolitan woodwork, the walls are lined with mirrors that multiply the gold and rococo panelling. The ceiling is adorned with a Baroque decoration by Francesco Solimena, painted between 1732 and 1733. This work represents the allegory of “noble deeds to achieve Glory”, a nod to the dream of success of celebrities the world over.

In resonance with this iconography, the greatest artists and international personalities celebrated joie de vivre in this ballroom at dazzling receptions that will go down in the legend of the most illustrious 20th-century parties such as the Material Ball. Figures such as Luis Buñuel, Salvador Dalí, Man Ray, Jean Cocteau, André Breton, Serge de Diaghilev, Christian Dior, and Coco Chanel, as well as contemporary designers like Philippe Starck, Gérard Garouste, Roberto Sambonet, Ettore Sottsass, Andrée Putman, William Sawaya, Jaime Hayón, Virgil Abloh and Marcel Wanders, have imbued the Maison with their exceptional sensibility, making its walls vibrate to the rhythm of their creativity.
