A MAISON WITH THE ART OF TASTE

MANUFACTURE IN MOTION

To enter the boutique on the first floor is to spend a moment with Baccarat's craftsmen. Designer Philippe Nigro drew inspiration from the Manufacture for the scenography. An evocation of the old pottery kiln orients the perspective of the space. Timeless icons and new creations are unveiled, including the 260th anniversary collection by designer Marcel Wanders.

When you visit the Baccarat Manufacture, you are immediately taken by the building's facade, its large glass arches behind which the magicians of fire have been working for generations. Once through the door, the hot room reveals itself in the slow, organic movements of the craftsmen preparing to collect the molten material from the pot furnace. Master glassmakers have their own language of precision and silence, of precise, determined gestures that evoke a perpetual ballet. Their world is made up of dark, antique tools, clear, delicate creations and hand-to-hand work with kilns. Designer Philippe Nigro drew direct inspiration from this atmosphere for the design of the boutique on the ground floor of the maison.
